Monday 14th November – bike *** – Two rivers including lunch at Landguard – Sunny start then cloudy with some fog.

The day started lovely with wall to wall sunshine with light winds making it ideal for a bike ride to test out my recently replaced worn out gear cogs on my mountain bike. Sadly, by the time I had completed my exercises and packed lunch it had clouded over but we headed out anyway. Langer Park first, then down to the dock view point as a huge container ship steams out! Mag actually came to see the docks today and I got some nice pics of the starlings and gull before continuing to our spot on Landguard pier for a yummy roll, we pushed the boat out and had a bag of crisps each, we know how to live! Having clouded over now it was a bit cold and damp sitting on the pier but our flask cuppa was nice and warming:) We then continued back to Felixstowe pom, with a tail wind and new gears I was absolutely flying:) Mag stopped at Jacobs Ladder while I carried onto Felixstowe Ferry for a quick spin around the boat yard before taking the short route home over the golf course and home for a warming cuppa and homemade apple puff.
We have 3 days of wind coming but tomorrow is looking a little wet and wild so might save myself for Wednesday?
